A Dialogue of Dust and Water

Left of Center is pleased to present “A Dialogue of Dust and Water”, an exhibition by artist Tatsiana Harbacheuskaya.  The artist creates a unique dialogue on paper by bringing together two seemingly different media: the spontaneous flow of watercolor and the soft, tactile depth of pastel.  The collection is born from the artist's fascination with how these two forms of pigment—one a translucent wash of color, the other a velvety layer of powder—can coexist and complement each other.

She says, “Through my art, I invite a viewer into a world filled with diverse subjects: human portraits capturing unique personalities, loving portraits of my cats, landscapes from my travels, and the flowers that are my true passion.  My continuous exploration of new subjects and my practice of painting from life and “en plein air” sharpen my skills, allowing me to share these worlds with a viewer.

Tatsiana is a professional artist with over 25 years of experience in landscape, floral, human, and pet portraits. Originally from Belarus, Tatsiana is an exhibiting and teaching artist now living in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She studied at Gomel College of Arts and Minsk University of Culture in Belarus earning her Master degree in Fine Arts and Art History.

Levitate West

A native Las Vegan, Dodson says that his paintings and prints are a depiction of a realm just outside our own, where the network of desert flora throughout Southern Nevada interact in a way that aligns with the neural connections of the human brain.  This ancient floral language is the underlying pulse of the artwork.  He hopes that his artwork will provide the viewer the experience of an altered state of consciousness: a feeling of levitating through space, time, and the Southwest Desert.

DREAMERS OF DREAMS

An exhibit highlighting emerging artists, Chala Escobar, D.B., and Jesus Orozco. In celebration of Black History Month, 2023, Meow Wolf collaborated with Left of Center Art Gallery to represent African and African American culture and heritage. LOC Gallery emerging artists, live painted a custom mural inside Omega Mart in 6 hours under the direction of veteran LOC artists and professional designers, Adolfo Gonzalez and Harold Bradford. The mural is their interpretation of the past and the future co-existing and the community that has gathered to make Left of Center Gallery a place many call home. The mural will be on display during the exhibition run. We see these young artists as our future, the dreamers of dreams which lie ahead. We are proud of the work they have done and the beauty they are bringing to the world.
