Art Donation & Exhibition Proposals

Exhibition Proposals

We accept proposals on a rolling basis for exhibitions, installations, and community-based projects. As a smaller gallery, we’re especially interested in work that:

  • Highlights Nevada-based artists or community voices

  • Encourages public engagement or education

  • Reflects a strong curatorial vision or cultural relevance

  • Demonstrates feasibility within our space and resources

While we cannot accommodate all proposals, we do review each one thoughtfully.

To Submit a Proposal:

Please email info@leftofcenterart.org with the subject line:

Exhibition Proposal – [Your Name]

Include the following:

  • A short description of your proposed project

  • Up to 10 images of your work (or relevant links)

  • Artist(s) bio(s) or collective statement

  • Desired timeline or flexibility

  • Any space or installation needs

  • How the project aligns with Left of Center’s mission

Proposals may be for solo, group, or curated exhibitions.

Artwork Donations to the Permanent Collection

We welcome inquiries about donating artwork that complements our mission. Left of Center’s collection aims to preserve and highlight meaningful contributions to the cultural landscape of the region. Please note that we can only accept a limited number of works each year, and all donations must be approved by the gallery’s director and curatorial team.

To Submit for Consideration:

Send an email to info@leftofcenterart.org with the subject line:
Art Donation Proposal – [Your Name]

Include:

  • A brief note about your intent to donate

  • Images of the artwork(s)

  • Full object details (title, date, medium, dimensions, edition, etc.)

  • A short artist statement or bio

  • Any relevant provenance or exhibition history

We will contact you if your submission is a good fit for our collection. Please do not send or drop off original artwork without prior approval.

PLEASE NOTE

While we are open to proposals and donations, we are not able to provide the following services:

  • Artwork appraisals or authentication

  • Unsolicited conservation or restoration guidance

  • General art handling or installation services outside of approved exhibitions or partnerships

If your proposal involves a public or off-site component, we encourage you to include that in your submission — we have supported installations beyond our gallery walls in collaboration with partners across the city.
