Left of Center is pleased to present, Furia Con Sueños, an exhibition by artist Haide Calle. Furia con Sueños is an exhibition that examines the idea of world-making as a way of escape while still addressing today's injustices. Calle’s Otomi heritage and mesofuturistic lenses influence her work allowing her to find a space of comfort. Growing up with colonial ideologies in the US, Calle creates her belief system and finds her divinity with the roots that align with her. She also speaks on the Mexican immigrant experience in the current world and pushes for resistance through the power that pride and boldness in our identity hold. In doing so, she creates bodies made to protect her from displacement and continue the cultural maintenance with the continual use of repurposed material.
